There are again contaminated storks in Hovtashat Village, Ararat Region. EcoLur received a call from the villagers that several storks fell from their nests and were helpless because they could not fly. "The storks have become greasy, they can't fly anymore," the residents said.
The latter state that the main reason for the pollution of storks is fish farms operating in villages and in their vicinity, including slaughterhouses. "The return water coming out of them is filled back into the rivers through drains, where the storks look for their food, they feed on the remains of animals," they said.
