Under Chief Prosecutor’s Office, over the first nine months of 2018, the law enforcement bodies of Tavush Region detected 327 cases of illegal tree feeling: 102 criminal cases have been initiated based on them, while the damage caused to the environment has been estimated in the amount of 195.238.922 AMD.
Chief Prosecutor’s Office made a comparison between the revelation of illegal forest felling cases in Tavush in 2017 and 2018, “For comparison it should be mentioned that over the first nine months of 2017, 94 cases of illegal tree felling were detected based on which 25 criminal cases were initiated. The total damage caused made up 34,086,560 AMD.”
