“Trchkan” Civic Initiative addressed a letter to Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutyunyan in regard with passport system of Trchkan waterfall specially protected territory. The letter particularly says that on 3 November 2011 the government adopted a decision on changing the category of land areas designed for the construction of small HPP on Trchkan waterfall, in the territory of specially protected territory. The letter mentions that Nature Protection Ministry have an assignment to carry out the passportization of Trchkan natural monument.
The initiative asks why it hasn’t been carried out so far and also draws attention to the fact the construction works carried out by “Robshin Company” on Trchkan waterfall resulted in intensification of landslip processes. Increased landslip processes are observed, and the land slips to Chichkhan River. “Whether “Robshin” LLC administration was actually instructed to recover damages caused to Tchitchkhan River in the section running to Trchkan Waterfall,” the initiative asks.
