70 Percent of Atmospheric Air Pollution in Armenia Caused by Transport: Gayane Shahnazaryan

70 percent of pollution in Armenia arises from transport, as Gayane Shahnazaryan, Deputy Director of "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" of RA Environment Ministry said, during her press conference held at the Media Center on November 15, 2022.

"Emissions have increased by 35-40 percent over the last 5 years compared to 2017 due to increased transport emissions. Concentrations of carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, and nitrogen dioxide have increased in atmospheric air. There was no significant increase in pollution from stationary sources, an insignificant trend was observed," Gayane Shahnazaryan noted.
