Policemen Detected Citizen Having Felled Trees in Dilijan National Park

On 26 December, Tavush Regional Prosecutor’s Office received from Dilijan Section of Police the forest violation protocol drawn up on 10 December by “Dilijan National Park” CJSC, which says that 15 trees of different species and diameters had illegally been felled down in Haghartsin Section of “Dilijan National Park” CJSC thus causing damage of 5.077.500 AMD to state.

On 8 January Teghout resident Gagik Gh., born in 1985, was invited to Dilijan Section of Police, being suspected of illegal tree felling.

He pleaded guilty and confessed that this illegal tree felling had been carried out by him on 29 November 2018. The materials are being prepared.
