Solar Photovoltaic Power Station with 5 MW Capacity To Be Built in Shoghakat Residential Area in Gegharkounik Region

The Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the construction of the Green Photovoltaic Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant LLC: 4th public hearing on the construction of the station was held on July 9. The community has a positive opinion on the construction of the station. The 5 MW solar power plant will be built in the administrative territory of Shoghakat settlement in Shoghakat Community, Gegharkunik Region on 9․68364 hectare land.

The planned solar photovoltaic station will consist of 5876 units with a capacity of 525 W and 5824 units with a capacity of 520 W, single-sided, two-sided photovoltaic panels. A 30-meter-long high-voltage overhead line will be built for the station. According to the Public Services Regulatory Commission, the annual productivity of the plant is estimated at 8.50 million kWh, the amount of investments - 1260.0 million AMD.

A number of solutions to the problem of waste disposal from solar panels have been outlined at a total cost of $ 3.5 million.

- If possible, repair and re-use damaged parts;

 - Do not bury or collect panels containing photocells in open landfills;

 - sell to other waste collection companies;

 - Dispose of waste containing photocells to collection points for electrical and electronic equipment;

 - hand over the waste to the organizations of the countries that are engaged in the production of blood panels;

There will be about 409 kg of construction waste, etc., which must be transported and disposed of in a community-designated area, as there are no sanitary landfills in the region.

Priority will be given to providing employment to the community population as social assistance. 6 people will be involved in the operation phase, two guards in two shifts, 2 monitoring specialists.

It should be noted that "Green Energy" LLC also has a license to build a 1 MW solar power plant in Shenik Community, Armavir Region.
