In terms of Lake Sevan, the management processes and functions of the executive body are far from being content-based and have an imitation nature, as Ex-Deputy Nature Protection Minister Ayser Ghazaryan posted on his FB page, “Last year in the summer, the competent state body should have beaten an alarm signal and presented the problems raised by us in the government. The problems should have been discussed in the Security Council, but, unfortunately, they have been busier with naming the year after the Caucasian Leopard, the logo of the ministry, electric cars, and other “interesting” matters.
I negatively assess the “updated” approach of the state governance system towards Lake Sevan over the last one year. The Ministry of Environment has submitted new “proposals” for the cleaning of the littoral areas of Lake Sevan. In the course of 2017, the “maps” of the approved marks of the height above sea level were compared with the orthophotos /2014/, and, as a result, it was found that the marks have been marked “incorrectly”. All this means it is impossible to have a real image in terms of all the objects and infrastructures remaining under the water.
/: The ex Nature Protection Ministry (perhaps Environment) Ministry needs a serious revolution, if...,” Ayser Ghazaryan posted who resigned the office of Deputy Nature Protection Minister on 22 May.
