Nature Protection Ministry Proposing To Significantly Increase Extent of Fines for Water Use Violations

RA Nature Protection Ministry is proposing to significantly increase the extent of fines for water use violations. The ministry has put into circulation draft resolution 'On Making Amendments to Code on Administrative Offences in the Republic of Armenia', which proposes to make the fine in the case of water use without having a water use permit from 150 times of the minimum salary to 300 times of the minimum salary. In case of the officials, it is proposed to make the fine of 300 times of the minimum salary 1200 times of the minimum salary. If a citizen has a water use permit but hasn't performed its requirements, it is proposed to make the fine from 100 times of the minimum salary to 300 times of the minimum salary, while in case of officials to make 200 times of the minimum salary to 600 times of the minimum salary.
