“Teghout” CJSC Security Fired for Violently Beating Teghout Residents

Samvel Davtyan, Security Head of “Teghout” CJSC of “Vallex Group” amd Security Employee Arthur Grigoryan are dismissed for violently beating Teghout residents. “Teghout” CJSC Department Head Ruben Papoyan told “EcoLur” all the questions will find their answers and the people quilt will be detected after the investigation.

As Teghout residents told “EcoLur” on April 16 the security employee of “Teghout” CJSC hit Teghout resident for spreading dust with his car near the building of “Teghout” CJSC. The security employee phones Security Head Samvel Davtyan who arrived at the spot with other 20 people and violently beat that person in the center of the village. Then they beat another villager who was passing by together with his family. As a result of this incident, 5-6 Teghout residents are beaten. 22-year-old Hrachik Ghortmazyan was beaten in front of his own house where his leg was broken. Under Teghout residents, “his leg is broken in such a way that neither Vanadzor hospital nor Alaverdi hospital accepted that boy. He had to be transferred to Yerevan. On April 17 about 70% of Teghout villagers closed the way leading to “Teghout” CJSC thus not allowing the company employees to enter the territory of “Teghout” CJSC. “”The company closed the way to our cross stone, now they don’t allow us to move in the village center… The ecological situation in the village has deteriorated. When we wake up in the morning, there is huge cloud of dust and heavy machinery emissions on the village…Every time they decrease the salaries… Everything is lost in the dust, no water. We have to take unclean water from the river. Whenever we dare to raise these problems, you feel like a stranger, people say it’s easy for you to speak: you don’t earn any salary from them,” say Teghout residents. The villagers have demanded to bring those having beaten their fellow villagers to them, but their demand was’t met. Lori Regional Head Arthur Nalbandyan arrived at the scene and persuaded the villagers to open the road and to leave the matter to the law enforcement bodies.
