Court Decided to Suspend Teghut Case

Today, on 25 August, a court ruling was reached at the court hearing presided by Judge Samvel Hovakimyan in Administrative Court, which suspended the Teghut case considering exhaustion of dispute on the merits. Reminder: Shnogh village Susanna Shaghkyan, Lori Region and 'Ecoiravunq' NGO have issued a claim to the Administrative Court versus the Nature Protection Ministry demanding to obligate the Ministry to conduct inspections at 'Teghut' CJSC. 'Court ruling is completely illegal. The court considered Nature Protection Ministry's assignment to conduct inspections as meeting demands, while our claim referred not to the Ministry's assignment, but to conducting inspections. The court was not entitled to suspend the case, as the demand was not met and we will appeal the ruling at Appeal Court,' said Arthur Grigoryan, 'Ecoiravunq' NGO Chairman, in his interview with EcoLur. It should be mentioned that Nature Protection Minister's assignment was submitted during the previous court hearing, 'The assignment to conduct inspections from 24 June to 24 August. Three days have been left till the deadline, when the government makes a resolution to suspend the inspections without any grounds.' Khachatur Khachatryan, Head of Legal Department of Nature Protection Ministry only noted thy had suspended the inspections based on the governmental resolution N 839 dated on 30 July 2015,' said Nature Protection Ministry representative refusing to answer other questions.
