Tree with Burning Hollow Detected in Dilijan National Park

EcoLur

In January 2019, the hitchhikers from 'ArmGeo' detected a burning tree in the area of Dilijan National Park, as Founder of 'ArmGeo' Tigran Shahbazyan posted on Facebook.

In his interview with EcoLur, Tigran Shahbazyan noted that there was a cloud of smoke and fire coming out of the tree which they detected when climbing the mountain.

Shahbazyan's FB post says, 'A new method is being applied in Dilijan National Park. At first, they fill a special substance and burn it in the hollow of the tree, then when it turns dry they present it as subject to felling.

RA Environmental and Mining Inspection Head Arthur Grigoryan immediately responded to this post saying Tavush Territorial Division is aware of this and shall carry out an assessment on the spot.
