On September 24, RA Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan visited the Arpa-Sevan aqueduct to get acquainted with the construction works. The Minister entered the tunnel from 10:00 am to 2 pm from the Yeghegnis construction basis and plans to cross about 30 km of the tunnel. Construction work on the 18th kilometer began in 2017 with the initiative and funds of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The launch of the Arpa-Sevan tunnel operation starts on April 1 and continues until September 1 each year. Due to the construction works, this year the tunnel capacity of the water was 19 m3 / sec. The highest rate recorded so far was 14 m³/s.
