Water Intake from Sevan Stopped, But Lake Sevan Level Lower by 11 Cm as Compared with Previous Year's Level

On 9 May EcoLur's photo camera fixed that Sevan-Hrazdan tunnel is empty. According to the data of Hydromet Service, no water intake from Lake Sevan has been carried out for irrigation purposes since 6 May. During April 18 to 6 May around 24.721 million cum water has been taken from Lake Sevan out of 170 million cum water intake envisaged in the law. Despite the cessation of the water intake and around 54.942 million cum water having flown into Lake Sevan through Arpa-Sevan aqueduct, the level of the lake doesn't reach its previous year's indicator. As of 10 May, this year the lake level is lower by 11 cm as compared with previous year's level and makes up 1900.65 m.
