On 30 June Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Fund held a meeting-discussion at Tavush Municipality. Fund Director Tamara Babayan mentioned Tavush region has perspectives of developing renewable energy. The main developed and studies are in the region is hydropower. The potential of the Agstev River basin is rather high with a possibility of more than 20 small hydro power plants. Tavush region has also the potential for solar energy.
