The spring of medical mineral water located in Litchq community, Gegharkounik Region, has dried out, as Litchq resident, President of “Sirvan” NGO, Hamlet Hakobyan is beating an alarm signal to “EcoLur”. Litchq Community Head Gnel Grigoryan confirmed this information.
According to Litchq community residents, “Technoman” LLC started carrying out construction works and drilling wells to extract carbon dioxide from mineral water spring without residents’ consent in the summer of 2013.
The villagers set a shift near the spring in order not to allow further construction. As a result, “Technoman” LLC didn’t continue developing minter water mine, but it dried out after drillings.
“This mine had a depth of 320 meters, while their drilled well had a depth of 400 meters and the spring has gone away: it has dried out. They had disturbed this spring,” Hamlet Hakobyan is beating an alarm signal.
“This is the reality: water spring regime has been disturbed. I have applied them (Note by EcoLur: “Technoman” LLC) to come and to clean the well, but they didn’t react to it,” Litchq Community Head Gnel Grigoryan said.
Litchq miner water spring has certain medical properties.
