National Assembly of Armenia Turned Down Bill on Examination of Lawfulness of Teghout Copper and Molybdenum Mine

The website www.1in.am informs that the National Assembly of Armenia has turned down the bill on setting up an ad hoc committee to examine the lawfulness of the development of Teghout copper and molybdenum mine. The bill was submitted by “Heritage” faction deputies Rubik Hakobyan, Zaruhi Postanjyan and Tevan Poghosyan. At the extraordinary four-day meeting on 4 February the Speaker of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamayan publicized the agenda and informed that the bill didn’t get the positive opinion of National Assembly Ad Hoc Committee on Agriculture and Environment. The majority of the deputies have voted “against” including the bill on the agenda.
