Nature Protection and Soil Inspection Body Confiscated 36 Kg of Illegally Hunted Fish in Yerevan

Nature Protection and Soil Inspection Body employees together with the policemen and journalists carried out an inspection in Yerevan on 22 December to detect the cases of selling illegally hunted fish, where 36 kg of fish had been detected and confiscated. 'Our aim is not to enforce punishing actions, but I'm calling for all people dealing with fishing to refrain from fishing from 20 December to 15 January,' Head of RA Nature Protection and Soil Inspection Body Yeghish Terteryan said in his interview to EcoLur.

Illegal cases of fish selling were detected in Nor Nork market, Shengavit administrative area, and Mashtots Avenue.

The confiscated fish was sent to the special educational complex designed for children with hearing problems in Yerevan.
