RA Nature Protection Minister Artsvik Minasyan declared at the final conference for 2016, “That system of expertise, which is currently operating in our country, is assessed as insufficient by me as a Nature Protection Minister. Our expertise system is a weak one, but we have whatever we have. This expertise is carried out within the frames of law and its competences. We shall enhance the expertise system to the extent so as it doesn’t raise any concerns with the public. If we had such an expertise system, which would have ensured complete answers to all types of questions, I’m sure you won’t have many questions arisen.”

Artsvik Minasyan made this statement when a question was raised on the suspension and review of Amulsar mining project. The minister is sure that Amulsar project is implemented within the law and there are no grounds to suspend it.

“I would ask not to push me to illegal steps: I won’t do it. I’m ready to discuss and proceed any demand, task or request, if it’s legal. For now there are no legal grounds for it,” Nature Protection Minister said and outlined that the expertise can be suspended or annulled, if there is a deviation from the project implementation plan.
