In 2017 RA Nature Protection Ministry issued twice as many non-professional hunting permits as compared with that of 2016. The credits to the target fund of the ministry were due to hunting. According to the information provided by Information and Public Relations Department of RA Nature Protection Ministry, in 2017 RA Nature Protection Ministry has issued 2164 non-professional hunting permits through 7 hunting unions and 17,310,000 AMD has been paid to the target fund of the Ministry. In 2016, 1065 permits were issued for non-professional hunting and 8,520,000 AMD was paid to the target fund of the Ministry.
Upon RA Nature Protection Minister's decree dated on 26 August, the hunting of certain animal species is permitted with the exception of the areas adjacent to 'Khosrov Forest' State Reserve.
