The Armenian Government intends to provide the right to geological soil management of radioactive raw materials on the competitive basis, and, in this regard, on 29 September 2016 the executive approved the bill on making supplements to RA Code on Subsoil.
The current code on subsoil sets the same procedure for granting soil management right for all natural resources and it doesn’t regulate the legal relations in regard with providing soil management right for the geological prospecting of radioactive raw materials.
