Almost Same Amount of Fish Confiscated During Sevan Ban As Compared with Last Year

In 2016 the amount of fish confiscated during the fishing ban in Lake Sevan as almost the same as compared with the last year, the acting director of Sevan National Park Vahe Gyulanyan reported to RA Nature Protection Minister Artsvik Minasyan during his visit to Sevan. Now his main focus is the illegal fishing.

Minister Artsvik Minasyan referred to these illegal actions and outlined that this issue has principal significance and the most important issue is non-involvement the employees from the national park, state environmental inspection and other bodies, who are committed to ensure preservation in order not to become an accomplice or supporters for offenders. In this context, the development of a management plan for Sevan National Park and its adoption was highly appreciated.
