Drafting Water Use Permit to Transfer Arpa and Yeghegis Rivers through Arpa Sevan Tunnel to Lake Sevan

The Water Resources Management Agency of Ministry of Environment is developing a water permit for an annual water intake of 273810,240 thousand/year from Arpa and Yeghegis rivers to transport it to Lake Sevan through the Arpa-Sevan tunnel of Water Committee of Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures. According to the Ministry of Environment, it is planned to transfer Arpa River water to Lake Sevan and the Vayk region gravity irrigation system, providing an environmental flow of 0.20 m/sec in Arpa River for 12 months. The water of the Yeghegis River is planned to be transported to Lake Sevan providing an environmental flow of 0.30 m/sec to the Yeghegis River for 12 months.
