The executive approved the procedure of implementing observation in the soil management waste objects. Thus, mining companies before and during their operation and after closure shall carry out regular observations in soil management waste objects, including examination of natural conditions and device measurements, lab examinations, collection of information, development, assessment and running databases. All these actions have been defined with one word as observation, which will be carried out over tailing dumps, heap leach facilities, as well as areas impacted by the objects -  surface and groundwater, atmospheric air, land, flora, and fauna. The data of the observations will be published on the websites of the companies.

It should be mentioned that according to World Bank report 'Sustainability Strategy in Mining: Armenia', Armenia has 21 tailing dumps, out of which 13 are operating ones.
