Out of 463 licenses issued in mining sector in Armenia, no production is carried out in case of 196, 51 licenses have been expired and only 8 out of 28 metallic mines are developed, as Information and Public Relations Department of RA Nature Protection Ministry informs. In the frames of issued licenses, the Energy Ministry will carry out examinations in all non-operating companies to specify the commitments they have undertaken, as well as to examine their operations. According to Soil Management Department Head, the Ministry is going to propose a package of comprehensive proposals to the government by 1 July in regard to the further developments in mining sector.
