The court case on Litchq mine is being dragged on: the court hearing appointed for today has also been adjourned: 'EcoRight' NGO President Arthur Grigoryan, who is a plaintiff in this case told EcoLur.

The plaintiff'c claim is to annul the Litchq copper mining permitting documents. The respondents in this case are RA Nature Protection Ministry and RA Ministry for Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources. 'Tatstone' LLC, which is involved as the third party, has received permitting documents for Litchq mining.

The plaintiff claims that a part of the area designed for the activities by 'Tatstone' LLC has been included in the area of Arevik National Park as a result of the environmental opinion no. BP 96 and decree of RA Ministry for Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources 20 A dated on 10.02.2016. According to Article 19 (5) of RA Land Code, any activities contradicting to the set legal regime and the operational significance of the specially protected area are banned.

'The court hearing has been adjourned, as RA Nature Protection Ministry hadn't submitted the materials of the administrative proceedings, so as the plaintiff could get familiar with them and express his position, while the Ministry for Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources presented the materials of the administrative proceedings only to the court, but the materials should also have been presented to the plaintiff to express his position,' Arthur Grigoryan said.
The next court hearing on Litchq case is appointed at 10:30 on 14 June.
