The Independent Public Monitoring of Forests in Armenia ' project has launched, which is implemented by ‘GeoInfo’ Scientific-Applied Center. The aim of the project is to collect, record information about illegal actions in Armenia and present it to the public. For the public monitoring of the forests local activist groups will be formed by the organization, which will include NGOs, environmental organizations and locals.
In the frames of this project on 6-7 June courses on illegal activities in forest will be conducted at Aarhus Centers in Vanadzor and Alaverdi Towns, Lori Region.
