Because of high temperature background recorded in the whole area of the country, the risks of forest fire emergence and spread in near-forest and forest areas have increased.
As of 30 June 2018, 20 cases of fire were recorded in the forestry-enterprise branches of “ArmForest” SNCO:
15 cases of forest fire in Gugark Forestry Enterprise in the area of 147.39 ha, out of which forest-covered is 116.08 ha and non-forest-covered – 31.31 ha,
1 case of forest fire in Tashir Forestry Enterprise in the area of 4 ha in non-forest-covered area,
1 case of forest fire in Vayots Dzor Forestry Enterprise in the area of 2 ha in non-forest-covered area,
3 cases of forest fire in Hrazdan Forestry Enterprise in the area of 0.33 ha in forest-covered area.
Forest Committee of RA Nature Protection Ministry is appealing the population to follow anti-fire, forest preservation and protection rules, to refrains from any activities that may cause fires in banned and dangerous areas.
