Three People Charged with Illegal Tree Felling

Head of “Spitak” Forestry Enterprise G.S. and Forester S. K. guarding 10th section (a resident of Spitak Town) have been charged with illegal felling of 408 trees of different species in the artificial pine tree park area of protective significance at Spitak Forestry Enterprise of “Gugark Forestry Economy” Branch in Lori Region. As Public Relations Department of RA General Prosecutor’s Office informs the preliminary investigation grounded that Head of “Spitak” Forestry Enterprise G.S. didn’t prevent forest violations and didn’t take any measures to eliminate their consequences. On the contrary, starting from early October 2017 to 19 October he instructed the forester S. K. guarding 10th section of the same forestry enterprise to allow Spitak resident H. H. to carry out illegal tree felling in the given section. Due to illegal tree felling, the state incurred damage of extremely large sizes in the amount of 25,353,000 AMD.
