Armenia will have legislative and financial conditions for the development of solar energy and soon this sector will have geometrical progression, as Deputy Energy and Natural Resources Minister Hayk Harutyunyan said during the discussion “New Tendencies in Solar Photovoltaic Energy Development” held in NAS RA on 18 May. “Recently the National Assembly passed a bill, which abolished taxes for solar energy market. Now any natural person or legal entity can install solar photovoltaic panels on the roof of his/her house, produce electricity, consume it and to give the excess to the electric networks,” Hayk Harutyunyan said. “We already have relevant loans in the market. As a natural person, I’ve applied for leasing and after a month and a half I’ll have solar photovoltaic station of 10 kW capacity on the roof of my house and won’t oay any additional primary money.
