The Russian Environmental Chamber intends to 'nationalize' ecology and demands to recognize international organizations such as WWF and GreenPeace as 'foreign agents.'
EcoLur is bringing excerpts from the interview by Vladimir Koptev – Dvornikov, Co-Chair of 'Green Century' Pan-Russian Environmental Movement and Coordination Council of Environmental Chamber of Russia given to www.lenta.ru (http://ecochamber.ru/news/646-davajte-nazyvat-vsjo-svoimi-imenami):
"...Organization monsters like Greenpeace and WWF occupied the major part of the information field in our country. I'm sure that frequently the actions of these environmental organizations are directly connected with the orders of so-called foreign partners...By sending the letter to the Head of President Administration Mr. Ivanov, we pursue two goals: on one side to focus the attention of the country leadership on the anti-Russian activities of these foreign organizations and the network of NGOs affiliated with them, and, on the other hand, outline the urgency of environmental agenda for the country... We are actually appealing both to the authorities and the force bodies...
EcoLur: russian environmentalists, please, come to your senses, what kind of foreign competitors?!!!! Nature doesn't recognize political borders, while any isolation is the destiny of the Middle Ages.
