On 18 September the Armenian Government reached a decision on declaring lack of water in basin management areas of Ararat, Hrazdan and Akhuryan. Particularly, Territorial Administration Minister Armen Gevorgyan was assigned to ensure water supply in the mentioned areas for drinking and irrigation purposes from new or alternative sources. In this regard, EcoLur sent an enquiry to Territorial Administration Minister asking to inform what kind of sources are going to be used for water supply in basin management areas of Ararat, Hrazdan and Akhuryan. In reply, Public Relations Department of Territorial Administration Ministry informed EcoLur, “”The governmental resolution you mentioned is now in the stage of amending and supplementing in accordance with Armenian PM’s assignment. Clarifications about the provisions of the resolution will be presented after the official publication of the resolution.”
