In regard with the pollution of the Hrazdan River, RA Nature Protection Ministry will carry out inspections in all the enterprises in Hrazdan Gorge, as RA Nature Protection Minister Artsvik Minasyan told the journalists.
The Ministry received two alarm signals on the pollution of the Hrazdan River at the end of April and beginning of May. According to the Minister, sampling was carried out in both sections and sent for expertise. 'According to the preliminary data, there was a huge amount of detergents, which may be related with the operation of car washes or a restaurant complex. These are still doubts, and our inspection is already working in this direction. In future, we will visit all these enterprises along the whole river so as to clarify the situation and impose additional requirements,' Artsvik Minasyan said.
The Minister outlined that the cause of such problems is ineffective water drainage and sewage cleaning system.
