Armenia will have diversified energy sector in 3-5 years due to the alternative energy in Armenia, as Energy and Natural Resources Deputy Minister Hayk Harutyunyan is confident of.

'This year it's planned to construct a large windmill and to construct a geothermal station. What about solar energy, the electricity produced by solar batteries has high price, but the final consumer shall pay the final price. Our task is to find the optimum solution, i.e. to develop solar energy production, but in a way to be economically viable. The cost of the solar energy technologies have decreased so that we can already aspire to have this level. I think we will produce twice as much energy as we've planned,' the Deputy Minister outlined at the discussion organized by Heinrich Böll Foundation (Germany).
