Tree planting is carried out in an area of 10 ha in Tsitsernakaberd Forest Park. It is carried out in the framework of citywide tree planting. On November 8 Aramayis Grigoryan, RA Minister of Nature Protection took part in the tree planting. The works of tree planting in Tsitsernakaberd are intended to finish in a week. According to the document "Estimating drafting documents related to the issue of tree planting works in Tsitsernakaberd Park, Kentron Administrative District, Yerevan" overall 6725 trees and shrubs will be planted in the forest park including 21 tree species and 13 shrub species. Particularly 25 Turkish Hazels registered in the RA Red Book will be planted.
The trees and shrubs will be achieved from "Zikatar" environmental center SNCO, "Reserve Park Complex" SNCO, forestries of "Hayantar" SNCO, private nurseries.
For tree planting the following works will be carried out: cleaning the tree planting area from residues and other wastes, cutting and removing dead branches of 2200 trees and shrubs, repairing 3700 linear meters of waterline of the area irrigation, then planting saplings and implementing autumn care.
