A resident of Kajaran town in Syunik region of the RA alerts that the town is totally in dust 3-4 hours a day. According to the resident the dust arises from Kajaran copper molybdenum mine.
"You can see dust arising while walking in a landscaped area in Kajaran. Because of this dust our children appear in hospitals and the employees use their minimal salary for their and their children's treatment... It is the grey dust of molybdenum, the dust from molybdenum mine which is dumped on Kajaran town", said the excited resident in his interview with EcoLur showing the photos taken by himself.
"From 8 a.m. till 12 a.m. nothing is seen, the whole town is in dust. The management was replaced with a worse one, they don't understand anything from the production. If the combine works the whole day producing 70-80 thousand ton of stone what will be the state of this town? People are afraid of each other, no one dares to say anything. There are 6-7 thousand people here, all of them are sick. All the policemen are in the streets, they made the combine a police", resented head of Kajaranc village Rafik Atayan.
In his phone interview with EcoLur Artur Gevorgyan, director at "Environmental Effect Monitoring Center" SNCO of the RA Ministry of Nature Protection said that they don't carry out dust monitoring in Kajaran.
