Nature Protection Ministry sued “Hovazadzor” Company so as the company dismantled the illegal building in “Khosrov Forest” reserve, Gilan section. As “Center for Bird Lovers” NGI Chairman Silva Adamyan noted in her conversation with EcoLur, Ararat Administrative Court has accepted the lawsuit for consideration on 26 November 2012.
Reminder: in 2008 the Armenian Government lowered the status of Gilan section in Khosrov Reserve to that of wildlife preserve and allotted this territory to “Hovazadzor” LLC for site development. But in 2011 the government returned Gilan section to the reserve zone, afterwards the company was prohibited to continue its construction works. As a result, there is a underconstructed complex in the middle of the reserve, the destiny of which will be ruled by court.
