American Experts Recorded that Plant Roots Not Damaged Because of Fire in Khosrov Reserve

EcoLur

Upon the initiative of RA Nature Protection Ministry, U.S. Forestry Service’s Burned Areas Rehabilitation and Emergency Prevention Working Group recorded in Khosrov Reserve on 9 September that plant regrowth is observed a short time after the fire, which speaks about not damaged root systems of the plants. A part of fire-damaged large-leaf trees has started covering with leaves.

The experts have observed the water systems available in 'Khosrov Forest' State reserve, the current firefighting infrastructures (roads, rivers, and springs). They have assessed the damage caused to the forest and grass-covered areas, as well as the depth of land surface burns.
