RA Administrative Court partially upheld the claim by Lydian Armenia against RA Environmental and Mining Inspection annulling 8 points in Inspection Act No. 30 of Inspection Body decision dated on 24.08.2018.

Edward Sellers, Interim President & CEO of Lydian International, said, “We call on the Government of the Republic of Armenia to guide by the judgment of Administrative Court and to restore Lydian's lawful right to operate." Nevertheless, Environmental and Mining Inspection, failing to attend the hearings, considers the judgment to be illegitimate and is going to appeal it.

The court also annulled decision No. 30/1 by Ex Head of Environmental and Mining Inspection Arthur Grigoryan dated on 15.11.2018 on the rejection of the administrative complaint filed by Lydian Armenia. Here, the court noted that the decision was reached under the conditions of a conflict of interests citing Grigoryan's public involvement around Amulsar project.

Arthur Grigoryan qualified the judgment of the court as “extremely illegal which merely mocks at the governmental institutions.”
